We went out tonight to celebrate Sam's 47 B-day. We went to El Dorado. It is a good Mexican Restaurant. Real Latino's working and cooking. We had a good time, just talking until the food came and then talking some more while we ate. Neither one of us wanted to cook tonight and he needed to be treated again tonight.
This restaurant is really really good food. Not some Tex Mex crap. Ok some, but it's good Tex Mex crap. Same had the Fish t
Fish Tacos as seen here...
and I had the Chili Verde as seen here...
We have eaten here before and always enjoyed this place, but it was so much better than before. May be the company I was in had something to do with it. If you are in the Belton and Raymore area and you want some GOOD Mexican food, that is not expensive at all, go here.
My Mister had an early Birthday Surprise this year. I never like to do the predictable. So the week-end before I took Sam to Best Buy and found out what Tablet he wanted. We tried the iPad Air the iPad Air 2 The iPad Mini 15,000. Boy, how many apples are in that bunch? He tried the Samsung's, the Lenovo's , the Asus, etc. When it all came down to it, he really like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1.
So he got it then and there along with a lavender cover for it. He was so surprised. Which is kind of hard to do since we really do almost everything together. It is extremely difficult to buy him something on the DL because he is normally right there. I'm sure it is the same thing in reverse for him buying me anything. Anywho!! I then took him out for dinner at our Favorite Korean BBQ place, Chosun. OK, the only one we know of, but the food is tre-excellante!! The night was great and my Sammie is happy happy happy. He now has his table to play his games on and do whatever he wants. Grindr is not allowed. Skruff is OK though!! EFG :->>>
So everyone hit my man up on Facebook and give him Haps for his BD! He will be 47 this year.
This is AWESOME! This make the BEST Coffee at home. Better than any Espresso Machine at any Coffee House. OMG. The caffeine buzz alone will make your head spin. I got the 9 cup model from Bed Bath & Beyond AKA...MY CRACK! On a side note...if they ever build one in Belton, GAME OVER Bitch!
Anyway, took some of this Heavenly java to work and ended up having to share with one of my friends Jenny! She sits next to me and she share my love of the Java.
This item is soooo easy to use and you will be making the bestest coffee you have ever tasted. I would suggest the 3, 6, or 9 cup model. Any larger and you may never sleep again.
Let me know if any of you take the plunge and try one of these.
OKOK, so those are three of my most favorite things, for this moment in time. May chance next week or even tomorrow depending on my mood.
Oy Caliente. Yep, that's right. Mixing Yiddish and Spanish
OK. I love Cholula Hot Sauce. This one is better. I know I know, hard to believe right. Just find it and try it. You will love it. Just the right amount of spice and that lovely bite and burn of Garlic. Greta on Eggs and Hashbrowns. Mmm..Mmm.
SO here is NUMBER 3, on my list of my 3 favorite things.
#3 SHOAXING RICE WINE and 888 International Market (It's a Tie for Third!!
This stuff is the BEST. Great to cook with when making Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, etc. food. Adds a unique flavor. Try this out and use in marinades as well. It will add a distinctive Asian flavor to your meats.
If you live in the Kansas City area, you can find many different brands of this wonderful, flavorful item at 888 International Market right off 119th at the Overland Parkway. They also have about 40 different types of Soy Sauce (Dark, Light, Mushroom, etc.) they are really yummy to use as well.

But I am back. I was tired and sick. Took some time off of work because of it. I guess I also had a case of the Blahs. I worked through them and now I feel great.
I changed up my iPod. I stopped listening to my music in a Random Style. I am now listing to my music by Song in Alphabetical order. I kind of like this. Here is what I have heard in the last two week.
Ed Sheeran - The A Team Right away I figured "THE" is not a word in Apple Speak. I love this song and I think Ed is going to have a long musical career. Here is the song if you wanna have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAWcs5H-qgQ
Benny Banassi - Able To Love - This song is mentioned a post or two ago. Still like this song. the video is FUN...love the broom dance. It is on You Tube.
Les Rythmes Digitales - About Funk - French Group. More of a Dance Music troupe. Fun Song and has a good beat. They Pre-date Daft Punk so that is saying something. This is about 11 years or so old. Have a listen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIYT3idxoQg
Vertigo - Above it All (Original Mix) - This is from the Renaissance - Ibiza 2001 CD. The Renaissance Mixed Compilations are wonderful. I will get into these later - I digress.
This song is good. Nice vocals, Pounding Beat, and Great Synth. Have a listen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgh6NQPhD5U
Cyndi Lauper - Above the Clouds - This is from the Body Acoustic album fro Cyndi. Another solid album from her. Is there anything she can't sing? This features Jeff Beck on Guitar. Have a listen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHQ2KjM0N_8
Amber - Above the Clouds (Plastic Honey Mix) and Amber - Above the Clouds- This is a Dance Chick god back in the 90's. Amber was everywhere and her music was fun and extremely catchy, even more that ebola - Aww too soon!! Here is where I can see the draw back from going in Alphabetical order. I got the mix and the normal song back to back. Oh Well. Love the song so listen on to the links to both below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b-EwTy0Y3g and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh2fJHXyvY4
The Fray - Absolute When this came up I first though of having some Absolut Vodka, but I was driving so I just listened to the song. This is from 2009 and I love this group. Yeah Yeah, they can be a little whiny at times, but whiny music has its place in everyone's life. Listen to this song here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdbNnus8w6o
Stereo Dancer - Absolute Reason This is from another Renaissance compilation - Global Underground - Athens Disc 1 and this is Song #1 on that disc. Starts the whole vibe off when listening to it. Wonderful. Have a listen to this jam - Sounded great in my new car. Great driving song too. I closed the windows and just let the music take me to another place while driving. NO, I wasn't on MDNA or anything else. Just love music and I let it take me places. So surreal to have this style of music playing, no other sound, and with the buildings, trees, and sky passing by - just wonderful. Have a listen, turn it up, darken the room and tell me you aren't moving in your seat to this beat! Great Trance Dance music, if you need to know actually what type of music this is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGW7iviIZ8Q
Pet Shop Boys - Absolutely Fabulous (Our Tribe Mix) and Original Mix) - I totally and completely love the Pet Shop Boys. I have every Single CD, Remix, and Album these guys have pout out over the years. I guess I would be a card carrying member of the Haus of Pet Shop if it existed. For those who live in a bubble, Pet Ship created this song using samples from the BBC Knock out Comedy Absolutely Fabulous. If you've never seen that show, who the hell are you, how are we friends, and where have you been? Lights, Models, Guess List...just do your best darling!! Have a listen to both mixes here. Lacroix Sweetie, Lacroix!! Buns so Tight he was bouncing off the walls!
Deborah Cox - Absolutely Not! - Former Back up singer for Mrs. Celine Dion herself, this lady also ha the pipes and I love her. This kind of has a feel like Destiny's Child, also who I loved. This song rocks. The mixes are great too. Wait for those, they didn't come up. Here is the song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiLQhClK3dI
Amada Ghost - Absolution I discovered this lady on accident. Most of the country never discovered her. I love her vocal styling's and she can write a song. Remember James Blunt's Beautiful. She had a part in that. This song is not on her album. It was on a Tribute to Gary Numan album. So this is one of Gary's songs she re-made. I like it lots. have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10bAZBJ59fs
Fluke - Absurd (Referendum Mix) - Fluke is one of those bands that consistently put out great music. Love the Hard Driving drums, the Breakneck Drum and Bass feel along with the Synth. Had me Dancing in my Bucket Seat. Have a listen to this truly a great driving song. Great for Raves or other happenings as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwRnct6HvFA
Sia - Academia She writes loads of songs for Katy Perry, Rihanna, and some other no talent bitches. She has the writing skills and the chops to sing them. Here is a listen to Academia. I call it the Math Song She has had hits overseas, but is just now finally getting some recognition here I the USA. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH3I-bvbxQo
The Smiths - Accept Yourself - I love everything about the The Smiths. Own everything from them and treasure each song. Every song, to me, is a hit. Have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9aa0aGBaA0 When will you Accept yourself. DONE! Everyone should do this for their own sanity.
Figures on the Beach - Accidentally 4th Street/Gloria!! One of those under valued 90's groups. I love listening to their music still. Have a listen to a good 90's group and song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z02IPuAkpY
Elsiane - Across the Stream Peruvian Vocalist, residing in Montreal. This Duo is outstanding. Eclectic music and her voice is incred. they are currently working on their third album, another I will snap up. Here is a listen to this song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQrxBwN_qQA
The Cure - Accuracy There is not enough I can say about the Cure or the Front man Robert Smith. Love their music since I first heard of it as a boy stuck in Putney, Ga. This song is off their album Three Imaginary Boys. Good song off a great album from 1979. Naturally I did not hear of this when it came out. I was in Hawaii and didn't care about music all that much then. This song is from the Goth era in Britain. Siouxsie Sioux was coming out with her Banshees and Robert Smith with The Cure. Have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d02UNBep0TI
Finitribe - Ace-Love-Deuce This group had a good album but they got almost no play. Found out about these guys when their album dropped. Unfortunately, it dropped on the ground and didn't move from there. Got no traction at all. I liked all the songs on it. They kind of sound like The Shamen or EMF. Listen to it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLWkLM6y1_Q
k.d. Lang - Acquiesce Now I am a huge fan of this singer. She came on the scene first as a Country Singer. Her voice is ON POINT. Better than anyone else at the time. She is from Canada, and lots of people liked her until she came out as Lesbian, well before people did that. She was a true pioneer on that from as well as with her music.
She was rejected by Nashville and Country Music Lovers despite have some of the best songs around. So she started melding Pop and Country, Long before Shania Twain, who I love as well. This song was not found on You Tube, so I made one. Have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPtoE2ueAiY&feature=youtu.be
U2 - Acrobat This song is off of Achtung Baby. This, I feel, is U2's best album ever. You will like this song. It is U2. Watch the video and have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHa1ThS9avA
Joey Beltram - Across the Hemisphere Joey Beltram has been in the Electronic Music scene for many many years. He is been influential to most newer electronic artists as he broke the ground many years ago. He releases music under Joey Beltram, JB3, & Code 6. He also started and still runs his own label STX. This is a great trance song - Have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSh92s1z0cY
Tracy Chapman - Across the Lines When she came out with her debut album, there was no one like her. There still isn't. Tracy Rules. This is off her debut album. A Song about racial tensions. Wonderful song. Have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E-X0AHN_g4
Madonna - Act of Contrition - Just don't like this song. It is off the great album, Erotica. This was a total miss as far as I am concerned. She just should have stopped during the recording of this mess. Listen if you want. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdPIwOL1H20
Def Leppard - Action! Not Words I have reviewed this before. It's Def Leppard. Of course it is good. It's off of the Pyromania Album. Excellent album. Get it and put into rotation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMfxVzfKkhc
Violent Femmes - Add it Up One of those college bands. Indie before indie was a thing. This threesome put out this classic album and this is one of the classic tracks off of the album. If you have never indulged in the Violent Femmes, get the album. You may be a little late to the party, but you will enjoy. Have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7y9yChV478
Kelly Clarkson - Addicted Yes, I like the Clarkson. She was the first American Idol winner and I was a huge fan of the show for the first 8 years. You will see lots of the alums here. Faithless - Addictive This was on the Soundtrack to that truly evil wonderful movie Cruel Intentions. This is a fun song and it is from Faithless. Been along time fan. Jimmy Somerville - (Comment Te Dire) Adieu! Big fan of Jimmy's. He doesn't put out lots of music, but what he does put put is great. This is off his 1989 GEM of an album called Read my Lips. Got it them and still have the same CD copy. Love Jimmy's falsetto vocals. He started off in Bronski Beat and then went to The Communards before setting off on his own. Jimmy has always been very openly gay and I think his career paid for that since he started off in the 80's. We so were not in vogue then. Listen to this song that he sings in French. It's just wonderful - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDYxNmyh5zc
Adore Delano - DTF Runner up on Season 6 op RuPaul's Drag Race. He was also featured on American Idol under his real name Danny Noriega. He was voted off before hitting the top 10 and I believe it is because of the Christian Coalition. I remember online campaigns against him because he was gay. He already had a huge following on You Tube and he spoke his mind. Something you are not allowed to do in today's society or the Christina will just bun you at the cross for it. Fuck em. He's surely winning now. His new album broke records on iTunes and he is making hit after hit under his Drag Pseudonym Adore Delano. This is DTF and that Means Down to Fuck. Fun song and great video.
Adore Delano - I Adore U
Here is another one of his songs. I like this song a lot. Have a view and listen.
Miley Cyrus - Adore You I am surprised as you are to see this artist on my iPod. Not into all that kiddy music she used to put out. Never listened to her, I would change the station on the radio if she came on. Turn the channel when she came on. Just though YUK. Then a friend sent me a link to a video on You Tube of her covering Dolly Partons Jolene, one of my all time fav's and he was saying how good it was. I sort of respect this persons thoughts, so against my better judgement I listedn. I was pleasantly surprised. Now she has come out with her new Album Bangerz and the songs are really good. I am not one for her antics, but girl is just trying to establish herself as a adult in the industry the best way she can. I think she's doing it all wrong, but her music is on point. Have a listen to this wonderful song about longing for the one you love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1tzURKYFNs
Oliver North Boy Choir - Adrenaline This is a Danish indie Group. They released some EP's back in 2007-2009 and then called it quits. They are back now and added a 4th member. I cannot wait to hear there new stuff. You can get the collections of their old music on Amazon. Great to listen to. Here is the You Tube video I just created for the song. Just to put the song out there. Don't have many photos of them. So just listen to them - http://youtu.be/SaJFawS0Cc4
Oribtal - Adventures of Robinson Crusoe They just re-did the theme exactly the way it originaly was. It isn't on You Tube and I am not making this. Was not impressed. A rare miss by Orbital.
Ebn-Ozn - AEIOU Sometimes Y Ahh the eighties. They made anything and everything into a pop New Wave song. Here is an example. Pronounced EEBEN-OHZEN, the group formed in 1981 in New York. There album, Feeling Cavalier, had a huge breakout hit that was featured on heavy rotation on MTV. Yes, this song. Have a listen.
Tom Hodge - Aerodynamic This is off one of my many Ministry of Sound Compilations. This song is a fun listen. Not a long instrumental but a good listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZINOZ2uH5jg
Bjork - Aeroplane This is off her debut album name Debut. She was the lead singer of the Sugarcubes, and Icelandic group that broke ground for their countries music scene. I was in my early twenties when she started out on her own and I have much love for this Icelandic Beauty. Have a listen to this song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmaPZIqytGE
Lisa Stansfield - Affection Love me some Stansfield. I always loved her soulful voice. Have a listen to this song from 1990- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2ORrkDwUwM You'll like it.

Return of the Native - The After This is another song off of the Renaissance Global Underground Athens CD. This is Progressive Trance music at its best. Starts off simple and it grows from there. Have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOCXpyMj6ss

Sting - After the Rain has Fallen This is a good song, but when this album came out it had such hype over it. After it, he became sort of a joke because he was just so Adult Contemporary. God I miss the Police. Listen to this album here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWeXsHjNFwo
Dionne Warwick - After You Mrs. Dionne to you all. She knew how to deliver a song. This is an example of how great she was in the day. Have a listen - I totally enjoy singing along with her when she hits my radio. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83FGXC4f8aM
Jonny McGovern - Afterhours The Gay Pimp Himself. He is hilarious on "The Big Gay Sketch Show" that was on Logo for several years. His music is raunchy gay dance music. Don't listen if you get offended easily. With all this new freedom, gay people are 0putting the racy music out there like straight artists have done for years. My favorite line in the song - Let's be like Whitney and get crack. LOL You can listen at Grooveshark here - http://grooveshark.com/#!/search/song?q=Jonny+McGovern+After+Hours+(feat.+Adam+Joseph)
Adam Lambert - Aftermath Adam Lambert blew American Idol up. His style just threw everyone for a loop. Love this song. Have a listen
a-ha - Afternoon High They stopped selling their music in America because we are the toughest and most demanding country to sell your music. I just think of the music we could have had if she just would have quit drinking and doing drugs. Oh well, nothing we can do but listen to her legacy and remember how great or sad her songs made you feel, and she could make you feel everything. Listen to this Classic Whitney song here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6jL9ygE5ko
Since it went off the air in 2009, most people in the know are jonezing for a Season 3. The cliffhanger at the end of Season 2 demanded it. But LOGO TV cancelled the series. They cancelled it to put more OLD TV shows on. I so do not watch that channel anymore because they SUCK. Except for Rupaul's Drag Race.
My iPod had some good selections today for the drive into and from work.
Morning...
Ed Sheeran - The A Team
This is the nicest sounding song about drug abuse I have ever heard. Never realized it, listen to the lyrics next time. Here is where you can listen to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAWcs5H-qgQ
The Sundays - Blood on My Hands
Here are The Sundays, again. They have 3 albums of Post Modern Progressive Rock to enjoy. Here is another great. Click here to listen to this song off their second Hit Album "Blind" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZnNYWhjtlI
Muse - Follow Me
This is a very eclectic group. Changing with each album, but always sounding fantastic. Here is one of my favorite Muse songs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qiu3rvYveSg
Melanie Fiona - Ay Yo I discovered this lady by chance. She didn't hit as big as she should have. Lets hope she gets more chances. Listen to this fun Song.
Donna Summer - Bad Girls This song and the accompanying album catapulted this lovely lady into the stratosphere. Unfortunately, the disco backlash made her fall down to earth hurt., She dusted herself off and proceeded forward. Lovely woman. I miss her. RIP Miss D Sum. Have a flashback -
I want those damn sunglasses Donna!!
ABBAcadabra - Fernando (Deans Delicious Radio Mix) Here is that ABBA tribute band that I love so much. This is good remake and remix of Fernando. Have a listen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR8l2Z2nIL0
Book of Love - Alice Everyday Ahhh, BOL. A great 80's-90's band. This song and album came out while I was overseas in Desert Shield/Storm. Had a friend of a friend send me a mix tape of new music after being over there for what seemed like FOREVER..I digress... but this song was on there. Always loved BOok Of Love. Such a fun band.
Keane - Watch How You Go Keane is one of those groups that just keeps getting better and better. This kind of sounds like a Beatles song, in a way. Except I like this way more than the Beatles. I mean, they good, but this is Keane. Have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRSk2558uRI
American Authors - Home A new group and I got their album hoping the one song released wouldn't be the only good song. I was pleasantly surprised. Their album is good and here is the song Home - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqFLBLsSbvM Midnight Oil - Only the Strong The Australian group trying to help the Aborigines and save the world during the 80's and 90's. I saw them live back in 95 along with Hothouse Flowers and a host of other artists. Tons of energy on stage and that energy transfers to their music. Everyone knows Beds are Burning, but here is another good song.
Everlast - Put Your Lights On I have been a fan of Everlast for so long. Here is an offering. Have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCBS5EtszYI I hope you have enjoyed listening to my day of music. Leaves some comments if you like. Tell me what songs you liked and what ones you didn't.
Here is the music I listened to all week. From the 80's, Rock, Metal, Synth Pop, R&B, and Pop. My iPod just took me all over the place. I will have some videos for some of the more obscure songs and for the artists that one may not find on their own.
Adam and the Ants - Killer in the Home
Adam Ant was one of my favorite artists in the 80's. Fun music and his sexy running around. AHHHH, I really loved this guy. This song was from one of my fave albums of his, Kings of the Wild Frontier. Still a good listen today.
Interesting side note. Adam and the Ants broke up and he became Adam Ant. The Ant went on to become Bow Wow Wow.
Morrissey - Everyday is Like Sunday
My friend Jerry Deubner introduced me to my first listen to The Smiths back in high school. The album was "The Queen is Dead" and the song "Some Girls are Bigger than others". Thought the song was good so listened more. Frankly, Mr. Shankly and then The Queen is Dead and There is a light that never goes out. I WAS HOOKED. Still am today. Have every release of The Smiths and of Morrissey. This song was off of Morrissey's 1st Solo album "Viva Hate". This song still makes me sing along. It was covered by The Pretenders and it was AWESOME as well.
The Housemartins - Caravan of Love
80's group The Housemartins. Only together for 2 albums, but what 2 albums they were. Outstanding. This was an Acapella song of theirs. The lead singers in the group went on to form a group that is still around today, The Beautiful South. Listen to this song and if you like listen to their other songs on You Tube and then check out The Beautiful South (You will see many Beautiful south songs in time as I have all of their music as well.)
Train - Hopeless Train is just one of those groups that get better with age. You can find all of their music on you tube. I have most of their albums. Really great music. Go to You Tube and discover this group if you haven't heard of them before. Here is a link to this song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3ihJgTMS4Q
Beyonce - Flawless All hail the Queen Bee! It took some time for her to win me over. I was ticked off that she left Destiny's Child. So I refused to listen to anything from her for about 2-3 years. Glad I got over that. I know have her entire back catalogue and list to her frequently. This song is fun on a stick. Here is the link for the You Tube video. Listen and watch and just remembah - I woke up like dis, I woke up like dis! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17hPCHLMpyM
The Housemartins - The People Who Grinned Themselves to Death Here is another from The Housemartins. This is one of my favorite songs from them.
Re-Touch - Running Up That Hill This is a dance remake of the Kate Bush song. This was an OK dance remake. Not the best and not the worst. This was part of a Mix CD that was bought, one of the Renaissance collections. The song is located here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgbZV-TFQ0Q. I still recommend the original from Kate Bush...it is located here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp43OdtAAkM
Echo and the Bunnymen - The Cutter I first hears of this group when I heard the song Bring on the Dancing Horses. I was hooked after that. They are still putting out music and it is still good, just not as good as when the put this song out. Bring on the Cutter...just don't bring on the video. Snooze of a video so just putting a link to a video that just plays the song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8H0xtvxoq0
Ochestral Manoeuvers in the Dark - Maid of Orleans Also known as OMD. This was a great song of theirs. Still listen to their 80's and 90's music. Got Glenn into them as well. Give this a listen and then try out their other songs on You Tube. You may be surprised at how many of their songs you actually have heard and possibly love without knowing who they are from.
Erasure - When I Needed You (Melancholic Mix) This group is right up their with The Communards & Bronski Beat in putting Gay Music out there - OUT AND PROUD even though Vince Clarke isn't gay, the lead singe Andy Bell is gay enough for both of them and I just love his flamboyant self. This song was on their album "The Innocents". It was their second album and this song was one at the end of the CD. It quickly became a song of angst for young Homos everywhere that were rejected by their families because they decided not to hide who they were and decided to live out and proud. This album, all these years later, is still a go to.
Dead Or Alive - Sleep With You For years there was no one gayer and I still believe there isn't anyone gayer. God love me some Pete Burns! Always fun and normally singing upbeats song filled with sexual tension. When he wasn't singing about having sex it was then about heartbreak and getting over someone. In recent years Pete Burns has turned up on Celebrity Big Brother (British Edition) and has continued to release a song here and there. The 80's and some of the nineties was when he had success. Maybe he should let some of the air outta his lips and he may find fame again. Who knows. This is a good song from Dead of Alive and again he is wanting sex with some stranger. God I love him!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VG2_iLrhWM (We Are) Performance - Dotted Line This group (We Are)Performance and now just known as Performance hail from Manchester. I fell for their music the moment I heard it. Fun Energy and actual lyrics. They don't repeat the same 3 lines of lyrics over and over. OMG. Hard to believe. The singer is actually an accomplished published author. They have two albums out and I cannot wait for any others they ever want to put out. It doesn't hurt that I think he is so adorable. There was no video on You Tube. Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus (Timo Maas Remix) Great Song. Good Remix, not the best but good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMt54KYxMbs Syzygy - Never Come Down This group was signed to Rising High Collective Records. One of my favorites in the 90's. They had the series of CD compilations - The Secret Life of Trance. This is on one of those compilations. This ia a good song. Others on the record are so much better, but iPod chose this one. Was actually a relaxing drive song. Here it is - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UO_Rzwjm0U The Cure - The Perfect Girl This song is of the "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" album from the late 80's. That album is still incredible. Of course, Disintegration was my favorite Cure album, this is a close 2nd. Here is the lyric video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE-Hy-q3mNY
Peter Murphy - Seven Veils The Ex-front man of The Bauhaus. Enuff said. If you don't know who the Bauhaus are, I am sad for you. This song is off one of his many solo efforts. I liked the album this song came from, Deep. and this song was good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7Fiis7EKDg
The Communards - Lovers & Friends Jimmy Somerville's Falsetto voice is just lovely. This was just one of many of The Communards fantastic songs. They only had two albums, but I still have them both and listen to them regularly. Something for all friends and lovers - loved, lost, and remembered...this song still gives me goosebumps. Hate HIV Hate AIDS Hate HOMOPHOBIA
Abbacadabra - If It Wasn't For the Nights (Almighty Mix) Love ABBA and this group takes everything ABBA and AMP's it up and brings it to the modern dancefloor, without losing that ABBA-ness. Here is another great one they did. Love how they did the video to. Here it is.
Robin Skouteris (MASHUP) - One Hell or Another Blondie VS Katy Perry VS Avril Lavigne VS a whole hell of a lot of other bands Robin is a DJ known for making Mashups of many songs and just making it freaking work. She takes the old the new and combines them into a fun file to listen to. She has lots on You Tube. Here is this one.
Ce Ce Peniston - Keep Giving me Your Love Sorry she disappeared. She gave us some memorable songs that are still played on the radio and are in movies today. This is one of them - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnsIHPdZ2ak
The Lightning Seeds - Marooned
This group never really took off. They had a couple of hits around the beginning of the 90's. This song is off of their second album "Sense". Here is a link to the song on You Tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DjVTW5KfVA
The Human League - Never Let Me Go
If you have gathered it by now, I am a Human League fan. I have all of their albums. So they come up often. This is off one of their newer albums, "Credo". Here is the video.
The Sundays - Cry
I would not be a music lover without just absolutely loving this group. Harriett's vocals are intriguing. Have all albums and wish they would put out more.
Tina Turner - We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)
We all know who she is and we have all heard this song. Just loves me some Tina T. Here is where you can find the video if ya wanna hear this one again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcm-tOGiva0
Duffy - Syrup & Honey
Duffy stormed on the charts with her debut album Rockferry. Vocal and music that is a throwback to yesteryear. Every song on this album is good. Then her record company rushed the second album and it did not perform at all. She is on a hiatus right now. unsure if we will ever hear from this songstress again. Here is the video..the song actually starts 1 minute and 25 seconds into this.
Heaven 17 - The Way It Is
One of those British Synth Pop groups from the 80's that endures. They still put out a record or two now and then and they still tour. The3y hit the hardest in the USA with Penthouse & Pavement and Let Me Go. There is no video on You Tube on this. So you can go to this link on Grooveshark and give it a listen - http://grooveshark.com/#!/s/The+Way+It+Is/1NISNS?src=5
Orbital - The Box (Part 2)
Electronica Royalty - All bow to Orbital! These guys are amazing. Each album is such a great listen. Sit back, relax, close your eyes, and enjoy the ride their electronic music takes you on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW65G6uNW2E
Dionne Warwick - Don't Make Me Over
OK, before the Psychic hotlines she set up, this girl could sing and sing REALLY GOOD. I love me some Dionne. This is one of her great hits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFvLcCDvdEA
Real Life - Exploding Bullets
This Australian group exploded onto the scene back in the '83 and had some hits. The most widely known is Send me An Angel. This song is off of their debut album "Heartland". Very hard to find. I have this on cassette, CD, and MP3. I really liked this album when it came out and still do to this day. Listen to it quite often. While this song was not one of the singles released, it is still good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL1po2cGfn4
Toni Braxton - You've Been Wrong
Big fan of Toni B. She makes some great R&B music. Now she is a HOT MESS in real life, but her music is undeniable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDBk5sH5n3s
Darren Hayes - I Can't Ever Get Enough of You
For those who loved "Savage Garden". Darren was the lead singer. He went out on his own and has made some great Pop music. Here is one of those songs.
Celine Dion - A World To Believe In Glenn and I love us some Celine. She is just incredible. This is off her Taking Chances album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaMFRuueq-g
Goldie - Inner City Life This is an oldie. Great Drum and Bass song. That is the style of Electronica this is, in case you aren't in the know.
En Vogue - Desire The Funky Divas. They dominated, then fizzled. Still love their swagger though. Click here to listen to a great song off of the unstoppable album - Funky Divas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg0cRCui5DM
Tracy Chapman - At This Point In My Life
This artist just speaks to you in every song shee writes and records. When I first heard this song all I could say or think is "Girl, I feel ya." I feel I lived this song. I am so lucky I have made it to this Point in my life and this far. It is quite the miracle. Here is a link to the lyric video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plMyJPm4KIs
Donna Summer - I Feel Love
Yes Donna, its so good its so good its so good. You left us way to early. She was a force to reckon with until Disco died. She stayed but never hit the same success she had early on in her career. She did have a resurgence and still put out good music, but who hasn't heard this song?
Dishwalla - Policy of Truth
This is a cover song for the Depeche Mode hit. They did it justice. If you like Rock then this song will not disappoint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmIa7H7zoWs
Faithless feat. Dido - Feelin' Good (Radio Edit)
Ever sense "Insomniac" I have watched and listened to Faithless. They are still around and for good reason. They never disappoint and this song is awesome!
Florida Inc.- Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back HO!)
This is one of those break-up songs. We've all said things like this about an Ex before. My favorite line - "You even gave him head" HAHAHAHA makes me laugh every time I hear this song.
Annie Lennox - Erased
Here is a MUCH classier break up song. Just erase them from existence. Annie is just one of those outstanding talents that ha yet to disappoint me. Here is the lyric video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxuzh1mkTHU
TLC - Ain't To Proud To Beg
First release and hit for this Trio. This song was an anthem when it came out. It was everywhere and so where they. I never got to see them live, but have all 3 albums. RIP Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmH4_pr6mH0
Sinead O'Connor - Feels So Different
This is off her Juggernaut of a second album "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got". This is the first song on the album and sets the tone for an incredible collection of songs of Angst and yearning. Turn this song UP. It will start off soft and then BANG!@ it turns up and her Banshee voice kicks into gear. I love it when she uses strings in her songs. Like Troy off of her first album. Sinead has gone through a lot of trials and tribulations in her life. Most of which are of her own doing. Sit back and listen to this great song! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5tmHw33_v8
Morrissey - The Last of the Famous International Playboys
I remember getting this EP over in Okinawa. God, I loved those Japanese records stores. They just had everything. One of his early solo singles. Great song.
Dee-lite - Build the Bridge
This is just a filler instrumental on their otherwise great debut, "World Clique". OK, but it's just an instrumental for a group comprised of two DJ's and one very talented singer, The Lady Miss Kier. It has their swagger, but I just like it. Not love it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neMRSo_KchU
Red Flag - Nobody's Perfect This is off their 2002 album Bitter Pill. Not one of their best but still a good offering. Listen to it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaMS0_d8Wv8
Benny Benassi - Able to Love
One of those unstoppable dance records. I remember when this came out. Great song. Here's the video and it's a funny one too!
My Life With the Trill Kill Kult - The Days of Swine and Roses
They are also known as Thrill Kill Kult for short. This group is tons of fun. They started off as Cinema students and they were going to make a movie, but didn't have the finds. they decided to go ahead and make the soundtrack. that move never did get made. HAH! This is an excellent track from their 1990 album "Confessions of a Knife". Christians, Zombies, Vampires - I am the father the father of nothing!!! They started off on the now defunct Wax Trax records from Chicago. I used to look for bands that were on this label and just buy the CD's unheard. Listen to this classic here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE0zVbNL3Zk
Rhianna - Please Don't Stop the Music (Jody Den Broeder Big Room Edit)
Here is Ree Ree again. Another Great Remix. Love adding in the Michael Jackson. nice touch.. Listen and watch...
Erasure - No Doubt
This is off Erasures album "Nightbird". One of their best I believe. They just continually top themselves. they have a new album that just came out, The Violet Flame. It enter the US Top 200 Album charts this week at 48!! Way to go. Here is their official website - http://www.erasureinfo.com/. Here is the video for No Doubt.
Echora - Love is Blind
Don't really know much about this band or person. It was on a compilation album and this is all I have ever heard of them. the song is good. have a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRo1_KeifRE
2 Bad Mice - Bombscare
This song exploded into clubs back in the day! It is a fun song. no awards are going to be one, just a great drum line with simple keyboards that makes have a blast with friends getting wasted at the club. Ahhh the mid 90's were loads of fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyW2p5KdS8Q
Sinead O'Connor - John, I Love You
Another stirring songs. I am loading a live performance. She songs just as good as she sounds recorded. This lady has talent and a gorgeous voice. Click here to view it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Z7srLwOjEw
HURTS - The Crow
This song is off the Sophomore album "Exile" from HURTS. British Synth Pop group that have some great music. Hope a junior album is in the cards. Click here to hear the song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkQfnyiIS-w
Planet Soul - Feel The Music
90's clubs got a real treat when Planet Soul put pout their one and only album, "Energy + Harmony". I felt the music on this track and also on their other hugely popular Set U Free. See the video and hear this jam by click here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgUxFgZksgQ
a-ha - Make it Soon
This song is off their 2005 album "Analogue". It was more of a rock album than what knew from them, but it was good. Have a go - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQ2CGVPActE
Lustral - Everytime
Another song that was on a compilation. Here is the original song and it is good. Its got a nice beat and great flow. Check it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRxOwLucEr4
Donna Summers - She Works Hard for the Money
Many a day watched this video on MTV , back when they played video. Loved this song. Sing it HOOK-AH!!
M People - Little Packet
They were here and the hottest group and then they disappeared. I wish they would come back and hit again with some of the magic they called music. This song is from the massively popular album "Elegant Slumming". I lover Heather Smalls voice. Have a listen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXrVGkNIXh0
Sarah McLachlan - Angel (Dusted Remix)
Her album "Tumbling Through Ecstasy" just kept pumping out hits. This song is incredible, now this mix is only OK, but you may know her better as the lady who's song has all those sad dogs and kitties in that commercial. She was much more than that before that damned commercial I cannot stand to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yE_OK92Y9C0
Altered Images - Forgotten
This group disappeared quickly. I have their album and it is soooooo good. I r understood why they weren't bigger. Have a listen to this 80's group that under-performed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rfi9iJyymE
Gomez - Moon and Sun
If you are a fan of Grey's Anatomy, like me, then you have noticed that all these years they have had some top notch music on these episodes. They get real groups, the original groups, music. They don't get the rights and pay someone bubcus to half ass record it. They pay for the real songs. This was off one of the Grey's Anatomy's Soundtracks - YES they had them for the first three seasons and then they have released a Volume 4. Unsure why they stopped. Oh well, have a listen to this good song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_7glV82Yso
Men Without Hats - Where Do The Boys Go?
Ultra fun group of the 80's and beyond - Men Without Hats. This song is off of "Rhythm of Youth." Was just recently lucky to find that this had been remastered and re-released on CD. Got my copy. Watch
Cyndi Lauper - Into the Nightlife
This was a nice return to the music scene. Showed everyone that she still kick ass and doesn't care what you freaking name is. Get outta her way.
Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time (2013 NERVO Back in Time Remix)
Great remix to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her first album "She's So Unusual" release. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQwiYUHEePA
